Zoe and I dropped by Miami for a quick mini vacation with my brother Rui and his girlfriend, Pippa (who I go way back with from high school)! We decided to take a quick 4 day relax-a-thon before meeting up with Rod in Alabama to head to a close family friend’s wedding. The weather was beautiful – not too hot or humid, no rain, the food was great and the recharge was so necessary for me! Here’s a roundup of our photos with you!
Every day was spent soaking up the sun and salt! We bought Zoe a little bucket and were sure to have all the beach necessities to keep her safe under the hot rays. I love the lifeguard towers in Miami, they’re super original and photogenic. I couldn’t resist snapping Zoe sitting on the steps 🙂
It was so wonderful to spend some much needed quality time with my brother, Rui and his amazing girlfriend, Pippa. I adore them both and together they are just such a cute couple! Both of them were so great taking care of little Zoe and it just all felt so special. I miss these connections so much when we’re all away living our busy lives!
When in Miami you HAVE to take a trip out to the Everglades National Park for an unforgettable air boat ride to see the alligators and wildlife. This really took me back to the times we visited as kids with our parents! They do daily tours from Miami Beach but we just paid an Uber (it’s really not far!) and met with the airboat company at their offices.
Zoe was spent from so much beach time and slept like a baby (haha) through her naps and nights! I’m going to cherish this mini vacation and all the memories we made.

There’s some yummy spots that we tried but honestly we weren’t there a ton of days. Mostly we used to go to CVI.CHE 105 for dinner and grab take away from a little place that had tacos, poke, ceviche, quesadilla etc (can’t remember the name!). Thanks for stopping in!
I used to live in MIA, miss it now looking at these pics. Miami beach is the place to be!!!
