Fall Outfit: Sweater Dress

Fall Outfit: Sweater Dress

Hi everyone! The weather is finally cooling off here in LA and those leaves are starting to fall to the ground which means, yes baby, bust out the warmer, cozy pieces hiding away in the closet! Today, I thought I would bring you a super simple, easy, comfortable Fall outfit to transition from those lighter warm-weather get ups. Enter… the sweater dress! This is a great piece for a day-time work meeting or evening dinner & drinks. And a little secret? This outfit cost less than $50 people! I got the dress from H&M on sale for about $10 and the Guess ankle heel boots are from Marshalls for about $25. See? Budget outfits are so much fun! I went the minimalist chic route for this look but you could also rock some cute Converse with this style or even ankle boots. Throw on a chunky statement necklace or a long elegant chain, accessorize with rings or belt around the midriff, scoop your hair up or leave it down… see? Endless possibilities! I decided to pair this sweater dress dream with a dark red, maroon-y, red wine delicious lip – this is the Always On Liquid Lipstick by Smashbox in the shade Miss Conduct. I don’t know, it just felt seasonal and perfect for a Fall outfit!

We found a cute pumpkin patch while we did this shoot and I couldn’t resist taking a snap! Hope you had a wonderful Halloween everyone! I really need to get on my Halloween game actually, we don’t really celebrate it in Portugal but it’s such a huge deal here in the USA. I’m sure having kids now will help me love the tradition.

See you back here soon!

Omg Ana I absolutely love that you not only appreciate fashion, but you appreciate affordable fashion! To be honest I haven’t shopped for myself for the past 2-3 years. Figure what’s the point since I’m a SAHM! However that will be changing soon since I’m preparing to go back to work soon and to finally get rid of my maternity clothes! Long story short, thank you for inspiring me and getting me excited about shopping again!

Ooh girl! I know what you’re saying about shopping for yourself, it’s hard to find the time! If you think about it, while we were preggo we weren’t really shopping for ourselves at all because of our body shape so essentially, we’re out of practise haha. I get lazy to go out and find cute things honestly, trying it on and all but it’s gotta be done. It’s really important to continue giving ourselves love and keep our confidence high and sometimes a simple outfit can achieve that! Hugs xoxo

A little about me…

Hello there! I’m Ana Free, s’nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by my lifestyle and mommy blog! I’m mama to a gorgeous baby girl called Zoe as well as a four-legged rescue pooch called Indie and wifey to an Argentinian music producer hunk by the name of Rodrigo (but since that’s too long I always call him Rod haha). I love music, writing and singing songs, traveling, doing my makeup, taking photographs and spending time with my family. The craziest thing I’ve ever done is skydive and the most embarrassing was probably when I peed in protest on the floor in ballet as a child because the teacher wouldn’t let me go to the bathroom (seriously, when a 6 year old says they need to go, you gotta let ’em)!

As with most creatives, it seems I have a million and one passions and this space is where I get to write, share, ramble and post whatever comes to mind in my world. It’s really just all things casual, travels, mama+baby, fashion, makeup, style and me.
