Today: Winter Outfit on a Budget #ootd

It’s 2020 and apparently the middle of Winter!? If you live in Southern California, you’ll have noticed the endless good weather. Obviously, it calls for sweet combos like mini dresses and boots! Winter is tough to dress for. It’s not easy to be elegant and glam most days, right? So it’s so much fun to figure out a winter outfit on a budget. I have a hard time getting my outfits to be cute. But so many of my pieces are hand-me-downs from friends, closet exchanges or just amazing finds at discount prices! The dress is H&M and it arrived in my closet by way of a giant trash bag that had piles of my friends clothes inside! It’s petite and adorable with its polka dot design. I paired it with a chill beanie from Forever 21 for a little texture and fun color. On my feet, I’ve got my faux leather knee-high boots on (a Marshalls or Ross score!) and a big smile to match!

You can pair this outfit with so many things – from a short crop denim jacket to a chunky, oversized sweater. I just wanted an easy layer since the sun was out. This cozy coat feels more like you’re wondering around town in a chic robe. It also arrived in said magical trash bag filled with clothes so I’m going to say it’s from somewhere like Target!? It’s got a sweet faux fur lining from the collar to the navel which gives it a more chic, put together style. It’s cuddly and warm and just the perfect layering piece for warm winter weather! What kind of winter outfits are you finding yourself into this season?! Are you finding it easy to find winter outfits on a budget? Share below and catch you over on the ‘Gram for more adventures!

A little about me…

Hello there! I’m Ana Free, s’nice to meet you! Thanks for stopping by my lifestyle and mommy blog! I’m mama to a gorgeous baby girl called Zoe as well as a four-legged rescue pooch called Indie and wifey to an Argentinian music producer hunk by the name of Rodrigo (but since that’s too long I always call him Rod haha). I love music, writing and singing songs, traveling, doing my makeup, taking photographs and spending time with my family. The craziest thing I’ve ever done is skydive and the most embarrassing was probably when I peed in protest on the floor in ballet as a child because the teacher wouldn’t let me go to the bathroom (seriously, when a 6 year old says they need to go, you gotta let ’em)!

As with most creatives, it seems I have a million and one passions and this space is where I get to write, share, ramble and post whatever comes to mind in my world. It’s really just all things casual, travels, mama+baby, fashion, makeup, style and me.
